Perdue established the Budget Reform and Accountability Commission (BRAC), to keep North Carolina competitive by making state government more efficient and effective. The Commission's goal is to consolidate and streamline state services to achieve cost savings while protecting their core mission. The Commission's members represent a cross-section of North Carolina with extensive experience in industry, academia, and government. They will advise the Governor on specific measures that can improve government performance and efficiency. Suggestions for initiatives that the BRAC will consider may come from a variety of sources, including state agencies, BRAC members, and from the public at large by using the web form below. Next Meeting: Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. All ideas will be reviewed. Some may be forwarded directly to agencies for further research and others may become part of the BRAC agenda. |
