A folk-art menagerie – including 6½-foot-tall chickens, a horse and a cow – that were part of a 2008 art contest at the N.C. State Fair are available to interested bidders through the State Surplus Property Agency.
Bidding will close at 1 p.m. Jan. 19 and will be awarded soon after. The objects are on display during business hours at the Surplus Property Warehouse, 6501 Chapel Hill Road (Hwy. 54 West) in Raleigh.
