On Tuesday, I visited the Penland School of Crafts near Asheville. I love this place and its wonderful crafts. I visited the gallery, talked with artists and toured their studios.
The school is a national center for craft education. They offer classes in many different types of crafts from glass and metal work to photography, and they sponsor artist residencies, community education and a gallery.
