4-H AND MENTORING

4-H utilizes adult and youth mentors in creating learning experiences where youth build a true sense of self-esteem and life skills enabling young people to discover positive futures.
- Volunteer mentors structure group learning experiences for youths using the social and behavioral sciences.
- Volunteer mentors render services in support of 4-H'ers, other volunteers, and the 4-H program in general.
- Extension professionals teach volunteer mentors to use subject matter, educational methods, and the democratic process to achieve human development objectives.
