As part of Gov. Perdue's emphasis on transparency, accountability and interactivity with the people of North Carolina, she has increased the use of new media. Initiatives include NCOpenBook.gov, NCRecovery.gov and JobsNOW.nc.gov as well as the Governor's eTownhall. And across state government the number of blogs, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube pages is growing rapidly.
