Clinical Laboratory Service To Expand in Guilford County

RALEIGH - Gov. Bev Perdue today announced that Solstas Lab Partners, a leading medical and diagnostic laboratory, will expand its operations in Guilford County. The company plans to create as many as 500 jobs and invest about $11.6 million dollar over five years to gain maximum benefits from performance-based incentives approved by Guilford County and the City of High Point. The project was made possible in part by a $450,000 grant from the One North Carolina Fund. The state grant will be based on the company creating 300 jobs and investing $7.5 million over the first three years of the project.

Gov. Perdue Announces 199 Jobs with Caterpillar Expansion

RALEIGH - Gov. Bev Perdue announced today that Caterpillar Inc., the largest maker of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, and industrial gas turbines in the world, will expand its manufacturing facilities in Johnston County. The company plans to create 199 jobs over the next five years and invest $33 million. The project was made possible in part by state grants from the Job Development Investment Grant program and One North Carolina Fund.
